WestJet’s Travel Advisor Appreciation Month Contest
Official Contest Rules (the “Official Rules”)
The “Travel Advisor Appreciation Month Contest” (hereinafter referred to as “Contest”) is a contest which allows participants to enter for a chance to win one of the offered prizes, pursuant to these Official Rules, which are available online at https://www.westjettravelagents.com/thank-you/. The sponsor of this contest is WestJet, an Alberta Partnership (hereinafter referred to as the “Sponsor”) and can be contacted here: trademarketing@westjet.com, 22 Aerial Place NE, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 3J1. By taking part in this Contest you accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that all decisions of the Sponsor (as defined below) are final and binding. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. These Official Rules apply only to this Contest and not to any other promotions, contests, or sweepstakes by the Sponsor.
- ELIGIBILITY:
Contest is open to Canadian residents (excluding residents of Quebec) who:
- a) have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry; and
- b) are employed as a travel agent with a valid IATA or TIDS number with the Sponsor.
Employees, representatives, or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled) of the Sponsor and its affiliated companies are not eligible to enter.
- CONTEST PERIOD:
Entry into the Contest commences at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Time on May 6, 2026, and ends at 11:45 p.m. Mountain Time on May 31, 2026, hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Period”.
- HOW TO ENTER:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. All entries must be received through the online submission form with no exceptions.
During the Contest Period, there will be one (1) contest with three (3) individual prizes. The contest period is as follows:
- May 6, 2026 (9:00 a.m. MT) to May 31, 2026 (11:45 p.m. MT)
WestJet will randomly select one (1) winner for the Pursuit prize package, one (1) winner for the $50,000 WestJet Points and one (1) winner for the $350 WestJet gift card.
To enter (the “Entry”), visit WestJet’s hidden gems contest – Fill out form to complete and submit the Contest entry form. Entries must be fully completed with all the required information. Entries must be received by 11:45 p.m. Mountain Time on the contest’s closing date to be eligible to win.
Participants may only enter the contest one (1) time.
- PRIZES:
The total value of prizes awarded during the contest period is $6,450.00 CAD
Each Prize (the “Prize”) available to be won is as follows:
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable or convertible to cash. No substitutions. Prize Vouchers cannot be sold. In the event that it has been sold, Prize Vouchers will become void, and any flight and/or hotel bookings made with it will be cancelled immediately without notice or reimbursement. WestJet does not handle the payment, guarantee transactions, or buyer protection or seller certification, nor will WestJet be liable for the loss of funds resulting from a fraudulent transaction. By redeeming Prize Vouchers, all guests travelling agree to release and waive all claims against, WestJet relating to any and all liability, damage, or compensation entitlement arising under Canada’s Air Passenger Protection Regulations.
Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to substitute the Prize or a component thereof with a prize of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but at the Sponsor’ sole and absolute discretion, a cash award.
There are three prizes, each subject to the terms and conditions set out below:
Prize 1 – Pursuit Collection prize package
The Pursuit Collection prize package will be awarded as Prize 1. Entry Period: May 6 – 31, 2026. Entry Deadline: May 31, 2025, at 11:45 p.m. Mountain Time. The total prize includes:
- Pursuit Collection prize package: WestJet round-trip flight voucher for two (2) in the Economy cabin; 4-nights accommodation at Mount Royal Hotel; $200 food and beverage certificate at either Sky Bistro, Brazen or Farm + Fire; two (2) round-trip tickets on Brewster Express from the Calgary airport to Banff; two (2) tickets to experience the Banff Gondola; two (2) tickets on the Lake Minnewanka Cruise; two (2) tickets to the Columbia Icefields Adventure & Skywalk.
- Canada flight voucher: The flight voucher is valid for a round-trip airfare in the Economy cabin for two (2) people on a regularly scheduled, marketed, and operated WestJet flight from a Canadian airport serviced by WestJet closest to the winner’s residence, subject to the conditions set out below.
Pursuit Collection Prize Package Terms & Conditions: This prize letter is not a valid admission pass and cannot be accepted at our hotels or attractions. To redeem this prize, please contact reservations@pursuitcollection.com to book.
This prize is subject to availability/weather conditions and is valid from May 10, 2026 to October 10, 2026 or May 10, 2027 to October 10, 2027.
Food and Beverage Certificate: Please surrender this certificate to your server upon arrival at your reserved restaurant . Must be used in one seating. If the $200 is not fully used, it can be applied to tax and gratuity, but no balance of cash can remain. Any amount over and above $200 is the responsibility of the guest.
Conditions: All WestJet Flight Vouchers awarded in this Contest are valid towards return travel until June 30, 2027. Vouchers are not valid for any flights departing after their expiry date. Vouchers will not be extended beyond their expiry date. No changes to destinations, names, travel dates etc., will be accepted once travel has been booked. Flights cannot be booked more than 90 (ninety) days before departure. Peak travel dates are not available, such as, but not limited to; all Canadian statutory holidays (including long weekends) and airline blackout periods (such as but not limited to; Easter, Spring Break [vary from province to province] and Christmas breaks are not available for travel. Other blackout dates may apply. The winner and his/her/their designated guest (if applicable) must travel on the same itinerary in both directions. Vouchers are not valid for redemption WestJet’s charter or codeshare/interline partners.
This voucher must be taken as offered and is not redeemable for cash. It cannot be sold. In the event that it has been sold, this voucher will become void, and any flight bookings made with it will be cancelled immediately without notice or reimbursement. WestJet does not handle payment, guarantee transactions, buyer protection or seller certification, nor will it be liable for the loss of funds resulting from a fraudulent transaction.
Taxes, fees and surcharges are not included and must be paid for by the winner with a valid credit card when booking the flights. Transportation is subject to availability, blackout periods, government restrictions and regulations, and airline, airport or other transportation restrictions and regulations. Seasonal service and schedule will apply; certain travel dates may not be available.
Travel arrangements must be made through Sponsor’s agent. The winner and his/her/their guest (if applicable) are responsible for ensuring they meet all travel requirements and have all necessary travel documents (e.g., valid passport, visas, proof of vaccination etc.), if applicable. The Releasees are not responsible if any flight holder is refused boarding at any time by the airline or airport security. Any unused portion of the prize will be forfeited. The voucher holder is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, provincial and municipal taxes.
The winner and his/her/their guest (if applicable) are responsible for all incidental costs and expenses not explicitly included in the flight voucher, including without limitation, transportation to and from originating airport, medical insurance, COVID testing, travel documentation, airport improvement fees, checked baggage fees, hotel accommodations, taxes, gratuities, telephone calls, in-room charges, attractions, merchandise, souvenirs, pre-seat selection, food and beverages, parking, car rental taxes, fees and surcharges, and car insurance.
The Sponsor is not responsible for any flight delays, postponements, suspensions, rescheduling or cancellations, for any reason, of any flight(s). The winner and his/her/their guest (if applicable) will not be compensated in the event of such delay, postponements, suspensions, cancellations, etc., or other event described herein. Other restrictions may apply.
Prizes two: 50,000 WestJet Points
One winner will be randomly selected to win 50,000 WestJet Points valued at approximately $500 CAD.
Please allow approximately 4 to 6 weeks following the Contest Period for your WestJet Rewards account balance to reflect delivery of any Prize.
WestJet points are subject to, and governed by, the WestJet Rewards Terms and Conditions and the WestJet Rewards Privacy Policy.
Prize three : One (1) – WestJet Gift Card valued at $350 CAD
One (1) individual winner will be selected to receive one WestJet Gift Card valued at $350 CAD.
Gift Cards can be redeemed on westjet.com and westjetvacations.com in any available currency. If redeemed on a booking in a currency other than Canadian dollars, foreign exchange rates will apply. Gift Cards are not refundable or redeemable for cash. Gift Cards have no value until activated.
Gift Cards will be delivered electronically. WestJet is not responsible for Gift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to inaccurate delivery information including physical or email addresses.
Redeeming a Gift Card: Gift Cards cannot be activated until completion of payment processing and fraud screening procedures. Gift Cards can be redeemed on new bookings on westjet.com or with a travel agent for flights, and westjetvacations.com for vacation packages. Gift Cards can only be redeemed for new bookings on WestJet, WestJet Encore and WestJet Link operated flights and advance seat selection fees (at the time of booking), including applicable taxes, fees and surcharges. Gift Cards cannot be used as payment for baggage fees, change and cancellation fees, same-day airport changes, seat upgrade fees, kennel fees, unaccompanied minor fees, WestJet Rewards redemption bookings, purchase of WestJet dollars, group bookings (vacations and air only), pre-purchase menu items and Buy on Board menu items, WestJet Connect, Cargo services, travel insurance, var bookings and hotel reservations booked on westjet.com, Partner airline operated flights.
Gift Cards purchased on westjet.com have no expiry. Gift Cards are fully transferable. A maximum of one Gift Card can be redeemed on a single booking on westjet.com and westjetvacations.com; multiple Gift Cards cannot be consolidated into a single Gift Card. A single Gift Card can be combined with up to one payment card on a booking. For Gift Card redemptions, the full stored value of the Gift Card will be applied to the total eligible amount of your booking; in the event there is a residual Gift Card amount remaining, this amount can be used on subsequent bookings; the original Gift Card number and access code must be retained for re-use. Gift Cards are issued in Canadian dollars, however, if redeemed on a booking in a currency other than Canadian dollars, foreign exchange rates will apply. Gift Cards will not be accepted if the Gift Card number or access code is missing, incorrect or has been deactivated. Gift Cards are not reloadable.
Gift Cards cannot be resold. WestJet is not responsible for Gift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to inaccurate delivery information including physical or email addresses. WestJet reserves the right to refuse, suspend, hold for review or cancel any Gift Card order for which fraud is suspected.
Gift Cards are treated like cash; WestJet is not responsible for any stored value balance on Gift Cards which are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed. WestJet is not responsible for Gift Cards that are undeliverable or not received due to inaccurate delivery information including physical or email addresses.
Gift Cards are not credit or debit cards and have no implied warranties. The laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada govern these Terms and Conditions. WestJet reserves the right to at any time change the present Terms and Conditions or contract with another third party to administer the Gift Card program. Tickets purchased using Gift Cards are subject to WestJet’s Tariffs and Contract of Carriage and fare rules. Gift Cards are not reloadable. WestJet does not permit the use of its trademarks and logos for the purpose of advertising, as an endorsement for a product or service, or for any other purpose without its prior express permission. WestJet does not permit Gift Cards for use in contesting without its prior express permission. Gift Cards cannot be used in any way that is indecent or illegal, or subjects the Issuer or their brands to scandal or a negative impact on their goodwill. - WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:
Winner Selection
Three (3) winners will be randomly selected from eligible entries received, for each Prize. Winners will be selected on approximately June 8, 2026.
Prize Winner Notification
All winners will be contacted by June 15, 2026, 11:45 p.m. Mountain time via email to notify and validate active travel advisor status and provide a winner’s declaration form that includes a mathematical skill-testing question. To be awarded the Prize, the potential winner must correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question without electronic, mechanical or other assistance. The skill-testing question will be administered at such time and in such manner as the Sponsor determines in its sole discretion. Potential winners must also complete and sign a Declaration and Release Form confirming compliance with the Official Rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, WestJet their affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with any Prize or this Contest. Each potential winner will have until June 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time to email their signed form to WestJet’s Trade Marketing department at trademarketing@westjet.com.
If a potential winner fails to return a signed form by this deadline or fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, the potential winner will be disqualified from the draw and an alternate potential winner will be randomly selected. No correspondence will be undertaken except with the selected Eligible Participants whose Eligible Entry was drawn.
- GENERAL CONDITIONS:
The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, or to be using automated methods to attempt to receive additional entries into the Contest, or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or to be acting in an otherwise disruptive manner. All decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding. The Releasees i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning the Prizes, ii) except where prohibited by law, disclaim any implied warranty, and iii) are not liable for injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from the acceptance or use or misuse of a Prize, secondary, or tertiary prizes, travel related thereto or from, or entrant’s participation in the Contest. The Contest will run in accordance with these Official Rules, subject to amendment by the Sponsor.
All entries become the property of the Sponsor. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. An entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she/they is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry.
Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, stolen, incomplete, altered, or misdirected entries, for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to electronic malfunctioning of any network, hardware, or software, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Sponsor whether or not due to the fault of the foregoing or of any other person, or whether due to computer mishaps, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the Contest. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of receipt. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Contest Site or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contests is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. The Sponsor is not responsible for injury or damage to online participants’ or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in the Contest, or downloading materials from or use of Contest Site. If, for any reason whatsoever, any part of the Contest is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes which in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, the Sponsor reserve the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and to select a winner from eligible entries received prior to the action taken or in some other manner that the Sponsor deems fair and equitable. The Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including but not limited to, errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of winner, or the distribution of the Prize.
The Sponsor will use your personal information for the purposes of conducting the Contest in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, located at www.westjet.com, and applicable law. Sponsor may also use or disclose your personal information for those other purposes for which you have provided your consent. By entering the Contest, entrants release and hold harmless the Releasees from any liability in connection with the Contest or, if declared a winner, of the Prize. Before being declared a winner, each winner will be required to sign and return, within a stipulated period of time, a Declaration and Release Form with the Official Rules, as cited in Section 5.
By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, place of residence, voice, statements, and photographs or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any medium or format.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these English Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to the Contest entry form, and/or point of sale, print or online advertising; the terms and conditions of these English Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
This Contest is governed by the laws of Alberta and the laws of Canada applicable therein and is void where prohibited by law. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest or the Official Rules at any time without notice.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:
All intellectual property, including, without limitation, all trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned or licensed by the Sponsor and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
