Stopover program

A simple way to add more value to eligible international itineraries

For clients travelling between Canada and Europe or Asia, or between the United States and Europe or Asia, a Calgary stopover can turn a connection into a memorable Canadian experience.

Instead of spending hours in an airport, clients can extend their journey and stay in Calgary for up to 7 days (or longer where eligible under the program terms), exploring the city’s vibrant culinary scene, western hospitality, urban attractions and easy access to the Canadian Rockies.

Build the perfect stopover

Help your clients make the most of their journey with a Calgary stopover tailored to their travel style. From award-winning restaurants and local culinary experiences to iconic attractions, outdoor adventures, and cultural hotspots, Calgary offers something for every type of traveller. Whether they have 24 hours or a full week, it’s easy to create an itinerary that fits their vibe.

Add another destination

A Calgary stopover allows eligible clients to experience an additional Canadian destination while maintaining a single itinerary and confirmation number.

Increase the value

For travellers heading to or from Europe or Asia, a stopover can create a richer travel experience without requiring a separate trip.

Enhance client comfort

Breaking up a long international journey gives travellers time to rest, explore and recharge before continuing on to their final destination.

Customized experience

Whether clients are interested in food, culture, outdoor adventure, or simply a few days to unwind, Calgary offers flexible options that can be tailored to their travel style.

Canadian stopovers are available for guests travelling on eligible itineraries:

✅ Canada ↔ Europe

✅ Canada ↔ Asia

✅ United States ↔ Europe (via Canada)

✅ United States ↔ Asia (via Canada)

For example, a traveller flying Los Angeles – Calgary – London may be eligible for a stopover in Calgary, while a traveller flying Los Angeles – Calgary – Los Angeles would not qualify.
